Designing Shared Digital Twin Learning Environments Through International Collaboration: Alex Gibson

This presentation focuses on an ongoing cross‑institutional collaboration between Humber College (Canada) and Technological University Dublin focused on the co‑creation of technology‑enhanced learning spaces using digital twin methodologies. Responding to growing demand for scalable, authentic, and flexible learning environments, the partnership explores how shared digital twins can extend physical campuses, support pedagogical innovation, and enable transnational collaboration.

The project brings together academic staff, learning technologists, and industry‑aligned stakeholders to design replicated and adaptive virtual learning spaces that mirror real teaching, laboratory, and collaboration environments across both institutions.

By aligning curriculum design, spatial pedagogy, and immersive technologies, the initiative investigates how digital twins can support experiential learning, staff development, and cross‑border knowledge exchange.
