Peer review process

TUS Open Press recognises the value of a review process for each of our publications. This process empowers us to enhance the quality of our outputs and enhances user confidence in our work.

Our Peer Review approach is very inclusive and is likely to evolve over time. At present, each TUS Open Press output is reviewed by the publisher prior to publication. We invite two other stakeholders from a pool of students, internal staff, external reviewers and subject expert reviewers, to evaluate and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of the work. Reviewers are chosen based on subject matter and reviewer availability. We welcome all feedback post publication.

Full transparency is afforded to our readers regarding the review process. If you’d like to join our Peer Review Network or would like any additional information please contact us.

Branching off from that spoke are 4 additional review options which are indicated by individual spokes. These spokes represent student review, internal review, external review, and subject expert review.
